R unning a Control Test
For control testing , you’ll need your meter , a test strip , a
bottle of ACCU-CHEK Active control solution , and a
napkin or paper towel .
1 . Take a new tes t strip fro m the c on tainer. Make sure the
yellow color in the round wind ow on th e back of the strip
m atches the yellow color above “0 m g/d L ” on the
con tainer. If it looks green , don’t use it .
2 . Insert the test strip, with the orange pad fa cing up, until it
will go no further into th e m eter. D o not bend the test
strip. ( The arrowheads are al m ost no longer visible when
the test strip is inserted correctly. )
After the flashing blood drop appears , you have 2
minutes to apply solution to the strip .
D o not operate the m eter without the test strip guide
attac hed. For m ore infor m ation, S ee Chapt er 5,
