12 KALEIDOS
2WIN instrument is sold also in the 2WIN-S configuration, with the KALEIDOS accessory.
This optional configuration is a set of a 2WIN and an electromechanical system to improve
some specific characteristics of the 2WIN. With KALEIDOS, the measurement can be done
without handling the 2WIN (by the operator), controlling the measurement process by means
of a remote control APP and having the possibility to take a measurement in particularly
intense light environment.
Note 1: In order to use the KALEIDOS, the 2WIN inside KALEIDOS and the control
tablet/smartphone running the remote APP must be connected on the same WiFi
network.
Note 2: For the KALEIDOS configuration and how to assembly the KALEIDOS in-
strument, please refer to the KALEIDOS Installation Guide provided with the sys-
tem.
Note 3: Please remove the battery from 2WIN when used in 2WIN-S configuration.
Note 4: Taking off the USB cable, the 2WIN will switch off in 3 sec.
12.1 KALEIDOS accessory models
There are two models of KALEIDOS accessory: KALEIDOS and KALEIDOS 3D.
KALEIDOS is the latest version and it is powered by an embedded battery pack. KALEIDOS
3D, instead, is the older version and it is powered by a power bank.
You can recognise if your 2WIN-S system is made of a KALEIDOS or a KALEIDOS 3D by
checking KALEIDOS bottom. The following pictures show you how to distinguish between
the two different models:
