9.4 Testing the Sample Probe
The Sample Probe function tests the sample probe at
selected positions on the turntable.
1. Place a sample of deionized water in each sample
position on the turntable that you want to test.
2. From the Home screen, press
Diagnostics > Sample
Probe.
3. Select a Position to test.
4. Press Load.
5. Press Test.
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 to test other sample
positions.
7. Press Exit to return to the Diagnostics menu.
9.5 Testing the Barcode Scanners
1. From the Home screen, press  Diagnostics > Barcode.
2. Place a loaded tube adapter onto the turntable.
3. Manually move the turntable so the tube adapter is
located in front of the barcode scanner..
4. If successful, you hear a beep and the barcode
information appears.
CAUTION: The front barcode
scanner uses a Class 2 laser.
Do not stare directly into the
beam when scanning barcodes.
5. Scan the barcode of an OsmoPRO MAX Maintenance
Kit, Calibration Kit, or calibration standard on the
front barcode reader.
6. If successful, you hear a beep and the barcode
information appears.
7. Press Exit to return to the Diagnostics menu.
The front barcode scanner supports the following
barcode types:
Code 39
Code 128
ECC
UPC
GS1
Codabar
Code 93
Code 11
Interleaved
PDF417
MSI
QR
IATA
MaxiCode
Aztec
EAN
9.6 Viewing and Exporting Instrument Events
An event is an action that occurs with the instrument.
The OsmoPRO MAX records the following events in the
events database for operators to review and export as
needed.
STAT tests
System alerts/alarms
Settings changes (users added/deleted, controls
added/deleted
Power up/power down
Calibration (see Running Instrument Calibration)
User login/logout
Data management (data import/export/backup - see
Diagnostics)
Instrument cleaning (see Logging Instrument
Maintenance and Repair)
Maintenance Kit replacement (Instrument and
Consumables Maintenance)
