Particulate matter can cause premature crystallization, such as sample pre-freeze. The particulate matter may be
eliminated by centrifugation. It may also be eliminated in urine by filtration.
Samples left on the turntable evaporate over time. The eect of evaporation on the osmolality of the sample can vary
widely depending on ambient conditions, duration, sample volume, and sample type.
Only use uncapped tubes to process tests on the instrument. Capped tubes may damage the instrument.
Additives such as anticoagulants from collection tubes may contribute to the measured osmolality.
Non-aqueous and highly viscous solutions will not yield accurate results. The OsmoPRO MAX is intended to test
aqueous solutions only.
