 A Assurance tag reader
Use the assurance tag reader to scan assurance tags
on the Maintenance Kit and Calibration Set in order to
load them into the OsmoPRO MAX system to monitor
remaining quantities (see also: Starting an Automated
Test , Preparing for Calibration).
 B Peristaltic (Peri) tubes (2)
The two Peri tubes work with the
internal Peri pump to move samples,
system fluid, and enzymatic cleaner
though the system.
 C Waste bottle
Collects waste system solution that drains during
testing and is then pumped into the waste bottle.
 D System fluid bottle
Contains 230mL of OsmoPRO MAX System Fluid
used to clean the system fluidics. The system fluid
bottle is sucient for testing 500 samples.
OsmoPRO MAX System Fluid is the only cleaning fluid
that can be used with the product.
NOTE: The System Fluid bottle contains residual fluid at the
time of replacement. This is intended to maintain
optimal instrument performance by preventing air
from being pulled into the fluidics lines.
CAUTION: Use of other types of cleaning fluids or water
may not properly clean the system and may
aect the test results of future samples due to
carryover or dilution eects.
 E USB Type A port
This single port on the right-side is
convenient for connecting USB
peripherals such as a barcode
scanner, keyboard, or mouse.
F Turntable containing samples and adapters
The 20-position turntable can hold a variety of
sample tubes and adapters.
 G Internal barcode reader
The rear barcode reader reads sample tube and
adapter barcodes from the turntable during testing
(see also: Testing the Barcode Scanners).
 H Front barcode reader
The front barcode reader is positioned to primarily read
Code 128 and UDI barcodes on calibrators, controls, and
user badges.
