AEQ Audio Over IP
Routing System

2.7. NETBOX DSP router description.
2.7.1. Front panel description.
NETBOX DSP includes 2 connectors, LAN 1 and LAN 2, placed on the back panel of the unit,
each one with its respective physical link signaling LEDs.
On front panel, there are indicators related to the unit and communications status. The ones
that are interesting regarding AoIP connection are:
- LAN LEDs: indicate the status of the audio local area network: LAN 1 (main interface)
and LAN 2 (secondary interface).
Status:
Off: no local network connection.
Blinking green: link is established at data level.
If the unit is wired to a dedicated audio network using a switch, only LAN 1 should be blinking. If
the wiring is connected in "Daisy Chain" mode, without switch, or there is a redundant network,
both LEDs be blinking.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When there is a redundant network, primary and secondary interfaces
must be connected to separated networks.
2.8. PHOENIX VENUS V3 audiocodec description.
2.8.1. Front panel description.
PHOENIX VENUS V3 includes 2 connectors, NET 1 and NET 2, placed on the back panel of
the unit, each one with its respective physical link signalling LEDs. NET1 port offers optionally
DANTE connectivity (it can be activated by means of a license) but can also be used for audio
encoded audio transport and for control purposes. However, NET2 port doesn’t allow access to
the Dante network.
On front panel, there are 9 indicators related to the unit and communication status. The one that
is interesting regarding AoIP connection is:
- SYNC AoIP LED: indicates the synchronization status of the optional Dante IP
input/output interface.
Status:
Blue (steady): properly synchronized with Dante network, acting as slave.
Blue (blinking): properly synchronized with Dante network, acting as master.
This LED also blinks when no connection is detected on NET 1.
Off: the Dante interface of the unit is not activated.
IMPORTANT NOTE: PHOENIX VENUS V3 does not allow redundant operation.
