Dry-Type Air Filter
When you take up operation
check the air filter (K/4) on dirt,
clean it if necessary.
Clean the air filter at least every
25 operating hours or at 3-
month intervals, after some
hours in very dusty conditions:
 Clean the air filter and sur-
rounding parts.
 Loosen the wing nut and take
off the filter cap.
 Carefully remove the foamed
preliminary filter.
 Wash the foamed preliminary
filter in warm lye (do not use
petrol).
 Sqeeze the foamed preliminary
filter like a sponge and dry it.
 Remove the filter element.
 Tap the filter element against
a smooth surface.
 Do not clean the foamed pre-
liminary filter and the filter ele-
ment using compressed air and
do not soak it in oil!
 Reinstall the filter element and
the foamed preliminary filter.
 Reposition the filter cap and
fasten the wing nut.
l Replace the filter element af-
ter 5 cleaning actions or
approx. every 200 operating
hours.

Replace immediately
damaged filter elements.
