Alarm Relay Configuration Examples
The following shows an example of configuring an alarm-out action based on the alarm relay input being
activated. The alarm-out action will trigger the alarm relay output.
-> alarm in temperature-alarm-in action alarm-out-1 admin-state enable
-> alarm out alarm-out-1 admin-state enable
-> alarm map temperature-alarm-in out alarm-out-1
The following shows an example of how to map an ‘authentication-failure’ event to trigger the alarm
output relay.
-> alarm event auth-fail-event event authentication-failure admin-state enable
-> alarm out set-alarm-out-chassis-1
-> alarm map auth-fail-event out set-alarm-out-chassis-1
-> show alarm event config

If there is an authentication failure detected on Chassis 1, the alarm output relay will be triggered, the LED
for the alarm output relay will be turned on and the alarm will be logged as seen below.
-> show alarm status

To clear the alarm the alarm clear status command can be used.

Alarm Relay Output Wiring Diagram Example
When the alarm relay output is triggered, the
normally open (NO) contact will close and
the normally closed (NC) contact will open.
