Unpacking and Installing the Switch
To protect your switch components from damage, read all unpacking recommendations and instructions
carefully before beginning.
Unpack your OmniSwitch 6900 chassis as close as possible to the location where it will be installed.
Items Included
Your OmniSwitch 6900 includes the following items:
• OmniSwitch chassis with power supplies, per order
• Blank cover panel
• Rack mount brackets
• Country-specific power cord(s)
• Rubber table-mounting feet
• Attachment screws
• Assorted instructional cards, anti-static bags and additional packaging
Weight Considerations
Depending on model type, an empty OmniSwitch 6900 chassis weighs up to 7.78 kg (17.15 lbs).
When fully populated with fan tray, power supplies and plug-in modules, the OmniSwitch 6900 can weigh
up to 10.86 kg (23.95 lbs). (Weights to not include transceivers or cabling.)
