IR cut filter
The following table shows which Alvium G1 models are equipped with an IR cut
filter. The filter is permanently installed and cannot be removed.
Cameras without IR cut filter have a higher sensitivity for low-light imaging.
Moreover, spectral sensitivity is increased.
Cameras with IR cut filter are more accurate in reproduction of color, contrast, and
sharpness, as the filter absorbs near-IR wavelengths. See Figure 48 for filter
transmission.
