6.8 System Shut-Down
Turn off the system as follows:
1. Set the system to Standby mode by pressing the Standby softkey.
2. Turn off the keyswitch; the Keyswitch Off screen appears.
3. Turn off the main switch on the service panel.
4. Disconnect the power cable from the mains power outlet.
Note
To turn off the system in an emergency situation, use the mains switch or
disconnect the power supply cord from the appliance coupler or wall socket.
A complete start-up procedure will be necessary to return to operation.
5. Clean the applicator according to the instructions given in Chapter 7 – Maintenance.
Warning
Do not leave the key in the keyswitch unattended. It may lead to unauthorized use of the
system.
6.9 Error Detection
This system is equipped with self-testing software that continuously monitors system operation by
means of watchdog software & circuitry. The software continuously checks the hardware for any
error condition:
• The LCD displays an error message and disables further operation.
• The audible indicator sounds an alert which is longer than the normal emission signal.
In such a case you should shut the system down and restart it. If the problem still
persists, refer to Chapter 8 – Troubleshooting
