The heated smoke probe will operate from fully charged batteries for a
maximum of 20 minutes.
If you intend to use the smoke probe for longer periods use a mains power
supply.
Making the smoke measurement
1) From the main menu, select the Smoke measurement option.
The Wait for the probe to heat then insert the smoke lter
message is displayed.
2) Press enter to continue.
The Smoke measurement countdown screen is displayed for 30
seconds, followed by Remove the smoke lter message.
3) Thesampleowrateshouldremainconstantthroughoutthesmoke
measurementtime.Ifthesampleowratedropssignicantlyremove
thelterpaperandrepeatthetest.
4) Whenthesmokemeasurementiscompleteremovethelterpaper.
5) ComparethelterpaperwiththeSmokeSpotScale.
