9.3 USB Connection to a PC
The USB port on the Lancom 4 can be
used to connect the analyser to a PC. The
analyserwillappearinthePC’slesystem
as a ‘removable disk’. You can transfer
datalogles(*.csvformat)fromthe
Lancom 4 to your PC for further analysis.
Note: The Lancom 4 cannot be used
for gas readings when it is connected to
a PC via a USB cable. Therefore, it is
recommended that you return to the Main
Menu screen before connecting the USB
cable.
1) Insert the USB cable into the USB
connector on the front panel of the
Lancom 4. Connect the other end of
the cable to a USB port on your PC.
2) On your PC, select Start > My
Computer.
The Lancom 4 will be listed in the
Drives with Removable Storage as a
Removable Disk.
3) Double-click on the drive name to
view its contents.
The Datalog folder will be displayed.
4) Double-click on the Datalog folder to
view its contents.
The contents of the Datalog folder
will be displayed. Datalogs are
stored in *.csv format.
You can now copy or move the
requireddataloglestoyour
computer and analyse them in
a spreadsheet program, such as
Microsoft Excel.
