7 Recording Gas Readings
Gas readings can be stored in memory.
Data logging stores gas readings in the memory of the Lancom 4. This
allows you to download data logs to a personal computer.
The responsivity of the electrochemical sensors in the Lancom 4 decreases
if they are continuously exposed to stack gas for a long time. LAND do not
recommend making continuous measurements for longer than 30 minutes at
a time. If you need to make gas readings over a longer period use the Wake
and Sleep option (See Section 8).
7.1 Using Data Logging
The Lancom 4 data logging facility has two settings: manual and automatic.
You can save about 250,000 logs.
A data log contains:
Date and Time
Fuel Type
Unit Number
Wet/Dry Analysis
O2NormalizationOn/O
Ambient Temperature
Flue Gas Temperature
Gas or Mass Flow Readings
NOx Concentration
CO2 Concentration
FuelEciency
Excess Air
Percentage Water
O2 Normalization Factor
Using Manual Data Logging
To use manual Data Logging, the Log Type must be set to Manual:
1) In the Settings screen, select Data Log and press Enter.
2) Scroll to select Log Type and press Enter.
3) Scroll to set the Log Type as Manual, and press Enter to save this
setting.
4) To start manual data logging, access the Readings screen and press
the Enter key.
The data log details listed above (Section 7.1) are saved.
5) When you are ready to log the next set of gas readings, press the Enter
key again.
