Todeneyourlocationtags:
1) UseatexteditorsuchasWindowsNotebooktocreatealecontaining
the location tags you need, with each tag on a separate line. Tags can
contain any alphanumeric or punctuation character.
2) ConnectaUSBcablebetweenthePCandLancom4andsavetheleto
theLancom4aslename“Datalogs\locs\locs.txt”.
A“locs.txt”leonlyneedstobeuploadedonce,butitcanbeupdatedat
any time using the procedure above.
Toselectalocationtagforaspecicmeasurement:
1) From the Main Menu, select the Settings option.
2) Select the Data log option.
3) Select Use Location Tags and choose “Yes”.
4) Press Exit.
5) Return to the Readings screen and press ?.
You will be prompted to select a location tag.
6) Thelocationtagwillbeusedtoidentifythelogle.Forexample,thetag
“BoilerEast”wouldproducealoglename“Lancom4BoilerEast.csv”.
7) Each time a new data entry is logged, it will be appended to the selected
logle.
7.3 Management of log files
The Data Log File Management option in the Lancom 4 software allows
youtomoveorcopydataloglesfromyourLancom4ontoaUSBmemory
device.YoucanalsodeleteunwanteddataloglesfromtheLancom4.
1) Insert a USB Memory device* into the USB connector on the front panel
of the Lancom 4.
2) From the Main Menu, select the Maintenance option.
3) Select the Data Log File Management option.
AlistofthedataloglesstoredintheLancom4isdisplayed(lesare
in *.csv format).
4) Selecttherequireddatalogleandpressenter.Thefollowingoptions
are displayed:
• Delete
• Move to USB Memory*
• Copy to USB Memory*
*Note: If no USB device is connected, only the Delete option is
available.
5) Selecttherequiredoptionforyourdatalogle.
