Flow Meter Span
Select Flow Meter Span if you run pure gases.
Flow Meter Reading
This function is used to calibrate the Internal ow meter. To do this:
1. Run a sample line to the Sample In port at the back of the ana-
lyzer.
2. Connect the ow meter to the Exhaust Out port at the back of the
analyzer.
3. Turn On the analyzer and wait for the analyzer to control the oven
temperature at around 60 °C.
4. From the Monitor tab, click the Flow Adjust button.
Wait a few minutes for the analyzer to control the ow, and the
External text eld to become enabled (see Figure 3-8.4).
Enter the value displayed on the external ow meter and click the
Update button. The External text eld will become disabled again
and the congurator will calculate a new Flow Span and send it
to the analyzer. The analyzer will attempt to control the ow again
and when it’s done, the External text eld will become enabled
again. You can repeat this process until the value of the internal
ow meter matches the external ow meter. When calibration is
complete, click OK to return to the Monitor tab.
Test Alarms
The Test Alarms buttons allow you to toggle the alarm contacts to an
Opened or Closed state. Use a multi-meter set to ohms to read resistance.
Refer to the "Interconnect Wiring" diagram in Chapter 2 (Figure 2-5) for the
analyzer contact locations.
Opened contacts should read innity.
Closed contacts should read zero (‘0’).
