Install and connect to a network
This chapter includes the procedures for installing the SimpliAmp
™
Thermal Cycler.
Package contents
Ensure that the SimpliAmp
™
Thermal Cycler package you receive includes one box
containing the following:
• One SimpliAmp
™
Thermal Cycler instrument
• Power cable
• Starter Kit
• Analysis Certicates
Materials
• Scissors, pocket knife, or box cuer
• Compressed air
• Protective hardware, as appropriate (see below)
Use the following devices to protect the SimpliAmp
™
Thermal Cycler from damage
resulting from electrical hazards and the resultant loss of data. Before installing the
system, decide what additional hardware (if any) you want to install.
• Power line regulator (1.5-kVA)
• Surge protector/line conditioner (10-kVA)
• Uninterruptible power supply (1.5-kVA)
Unpack the product
IMPORTANT! Save the packing materials and box in case you need to ship the
instrument for service.
1.
To unpack the SimpliAmp
™
Thermal Cycler:
a.
Cut the straps securing the instrument box.
b.
Cut the tape securing the top aps of the instrument crate, then open the
aps.
c.
Remove the SimpliAmp
™
Thermal Cycler Accessories from the instrument
and set them aside.
