The TubeSpec Packer Pressure-control System
A packer pressure-control system resides within the TubeSpec system for the purpose of maintaining
proper coupling between the tubing and the UT sensors.
The system allows the user to set and maintain the desired packer pressure as conditions at the measuring
head change. As tubing of varying sizes and shapes is introduced to the system, and as the packers wear,
regulated hydraulic pressure is applied to the pistons to actuate (move) them into position to generate ade-
quate force to sufficiently compress the packers to create coupling.
