5. Handset Configuration
3In the Call with headset button drop-down list, select one of the following:
Not activated - the call can only be answered or ended.
Last called number - dials the last called number.
Predefined number - a predefined number is called (if selected, continue with step
3)
Hook off - activates the post-dial function, that is, a dial tone is heard and the
user can enter the number to be called.
4 If needed, in the Predefined number field, enter the number to be dialed when the
headset button is pressed.
Configure a Bluetooth headset button
Note: See the User Manual for the Bluetooth headset for more information on how to
connect it and use its answer button.

5.38 Display New Messages and Call Information Upside Down
New messages and information about incoming calls can be displayed upside down. This can
be useful if the handset is worn in a belt and the user wishes to read a message or call
information without rotating the handset. When pressing any key, the messages are
displayed in the normal way.
1 Select Settings > Display
2In the Rotate display text drop-down list, select one of the following:
On - New messages and call information is rotated 180 degrees.
Off - Disables the rotation function.
5.39 Display Management Layout
In the Active area of the display, the first 2 rows can show 12 characters each by default.
The number of rows and characters to be displayed can be extended in idle mode and during
a call by up to 3 rows with 16 characters each. When extending the rows or characters, the
System name or Owner ID is hidden so that space for system dependent information is
allocated instead.
NOTE: All settings except the default setting require an IP-DECT system with software
version 5.0.x or higher.
1 Select System X.
2In the Display Management Layout drop-down list, select one of the following:
2x12 characters (default)
2x16 characters
3x16 characters, remove Owner ID
3x16 characters, remove system name
