16. Gas Circulation / Automatic Calibration
Drawer type Incubation Chamber
Circulation of the gas in the Chamber
Regardless of the lid of the drawer is opened or not, once the drawer is pulled out and pulled back in,
AD-3100 starts circulating the gas in the drawer chamber
As soon as the drawer is pushed back in, it starts circulating the gas in order to mix the gas in the
incubation chamber and gas sensors (and tubes). This helps the sensor to detect the correct gas
concentration and much faster concentration recovery. The gas circulation continues for 1 minute, and
during this circulation, CO
2
and O
2
displays show “CYC”. During this 1 minute period gas supply into the
chamber is stopped.
Automatic Calibrations
It is available for AD-3100 to perform calibrations on CO
2
and O
2
sensors once in every week
automatically. Only O
2
Span Calibration is set in factory setting. During the calibration of CO
2
sensor,
CO
2
display shows “CAL” and actual concentration alternately. When O
2
sensor is calibrated, O
2
display
shows “CAL” and actual O
2
concentration alternately.
