Adjustment/Calibration Procedure
If the displayed CO
2
and/or O
2
concentration differs from the concentration measured with a
calibrated analyzer more or less than the tolerance, adjust the concentration on the display of the
incubator to the actual concentration measured with the analyzer according to the Procedure below.
CO
2
display adjustment:
1. Change the CO
2
Span parameter to the same value as that of actual CO
2
concentration at A-5
menu,
e.g. CO
2
on the incubator display: 5.0%, Measured CO
2
: 4.8%
Then, change A-5 to 4.8
2. Turn A-4 ON for “CO
2
Zero Manual Calibration”, wait until CO
2
on the incubator display
becomes stable at set point, and
3. Sample CO
2
in the chamber again to check. If it still has the difference, repeat this procedure
again.
O2 display adjustment:
1. Calculate the difference between the two values (actual O
2
concentration - O
2
display) and add
this number to the current value in A-6 menu,
e.g. O2 on the incubator display: 5.0%, Measured O2: 5.5%
Then, Add +0.5 on current A-6 value
2. Turn A-7 ON for “O
2
Span Manual Calibration”, wait until O
2
on the incubator display becomes
stable at set point, and
3. Sample O
2
in the chamber again to check. If it still has the difference, repeat this procedure
again.
4.
5.
To confirm that concentration in the chamber is correct or not, check CO
2
/O
2
on the
display and measured CO
2
/O
2
again.
CO
2
/O
2
display may vary during gas concentration measurement due to pressure
change in the chamber. It is not malfunction.
Do not use SP Mode during adjustment/calibration.
