ASCII instruction syntax
ASCII instruction description
FMB10 Encoder
Example(s) and comments
EBU=0
or
EBU=1
Before using this command, please read the
chapter devoted to the UECP (UER-SPB490)
protocol commands ‘understood’ by the
FMB10 encoder.
"EBU=1" activates the encoder in a manner to
be able to ‘switch’ the UECP (UER-SPB490)
protocol after a certain time. See explaining
paragraph.
"EBU=0" : deactivates the RDS encoder to
understand the UECP (UER-SPB490) protocol
commands.
See also
: "ECHO=1" and chapter devoted to
UECP (UER-SPB490) protocol commands
‘understood’ by the FMB10 encoder.
ASCII mode: the EBU parameter
can be reread with the command
EBU?
IMPORTANT : if you wish to
save the EBU parameter
permanently in memory, do not
forget to execute the "SAVE"
command.
ECHO=0
or
ECHO=1
This command determines if the encoder
sends an echo(ECHO=1) of each character, or
not (ECHO=0), that it receives by the RS232
interface when in ASCII mode.
ECHO=1 : the characters received are sent
back by the RDS encoder’s COM0 port.
When the encoder has switched into " UECP
protocol the parameter ECHO=1 activates the
sending of a response to each UECP (UER-
SPB490) protocol command received (MODE
2 of the UECP)
See also
: chapter devoted to the UECP
(UER-SPB490) protocol commands.
ASCII Mode : the ECHO
parameter may be reread with
the command ECHO?
