programme.
ASCII mode : the PTY parameter
can be reread with the command
PTY?
The PTY parameter is
transmitted at approximately
every 350 ms..
A listener who possesses a tuner
or advanced car radio, may, if he
wishes, perform a search
according to a PTY criterion of
his choosing.
In practice, this function has not
had much success in Europe,
partially because of it’s limited
aspect.
However, it should be noted that
programming PTY=0 does not
mean that the station will be
detected in all search cases : a
listener making a search on
« Classical music » will not finish
on an RDS station programmed
with PTY=0!
(4) QUIT
This command leaves local mode and
switches to "EBU protocol" if the parameter
EBU=1.
RAZAF
This command erases the whole of the
programmed AF list.
