– To reduce the residual pressure in the cooling system, briefly
open the coolant expansion tank cap -1- by releasing the re‐
tainer in direction of -arrow- if necessary.
– Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to ⇒ Body Exterior;
Rep. Gr. 66 ; Noise Insulation; Noise Insulation, Removing
and Installing .
– Disconnect the connector -2-.
– Place a cloth underneath to catch any escaping coolant.
– Remove the clip -1- and remove the Engine Coolant Temper‐
ature Sensor on Radiator Outlet - G83- .
• Replace the O-rings after removing them.
– To prevent coolant loss, install the new coolant temperature
sensor immediately.
– Check the coolant level. Refer to ⇒ page 99 .

♦ Hose Clip Pliers - VAS6362-
Depending on the vehicle version the Transmission Coolant
Valve - N488- can be installed.
Removing
– Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to ⇒ Body Exterior;
