Removing
– Remove the plenum chamber bulkhead. Refer to ⇒ Body Ex‐
terior; Rep. Gr. 50 ; Bulkhead; Plenum Chamber Bulkhead,
Removing and Installing .
– Remove the engine cover. Refer to ⇒ Servicing – 4-Cylinder
1.8L; 2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; Rep. Gr. 10 ; Engine Cover; En‐
gine Cover, Removing and Installing .
– Disconnect the connector -2- and free up the wire.
– Remove the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 - G495-
-1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
• Protect the exhaust gas temperature sensor against knocks
and impacts. A dropped exhaust gas temperature sensor may
not be used again.
– Make sure there is enough clearance during installation.
– Install the engine cover. Refer to ⇒ Servicing – 4-Cylinder

– Install the plenum chamber bulkhead. Refer to ⇒ Body Exte‐
