We are now going to install for a single triode 300B filament configuration - check the chart at beginning of manual for
your secondary transformer wires and resistor combinations. For example, Single 2A3 or parallel configurations will differ
from the following instructions.
If all looks good then go ahead and solder the regulators
into position.
You will want to solder from the underside of the board
the pads are VERY close together so make sure you have
a fine tip and that the solder does not jump from one pad to
another.
Solder the REGULATORS into position and then proceed
to the next step.
We are now going to connect the Transformer Secondary
wires to the Filament board we will do this before the
board is installed, as we will need to solder on the
underside of the board.
The secondary colors that follow are assuming Single 300B
operation - see chart at beginning of this section for correct
colors if different operating mode is required.
Select the Blue wire and the Black wire and twist these
together. Then select the Violet and Green wires and twist
them together also.
Note: Lead colors are incorrect in this picture as this is
using a different mains transformer.
Stretch the wires about 3 inches past the filament board
and then cut – Do the same with both pairs of wires.
Note: Lead colors are incorrect in this picture as this is
using a different mains transformer.
