Chapter 3: Auto configuring the general
settings
About this task
Your system administrator can set certain parameters in the 46xxsettings.txt file. This file is hosted
on a Web server. Avaya one-X
®
Communicator uses this file to automatically retrieve its various settings
at the first startup. Contact your system administrator for more information.
Procedure
1. Set the parameters in the 46xxsettings.txt file. The system displays a message indicating
the progress of the auto-configure operation.
If the retrieval is successful, the message disappears and the system displays the Login dialog
box. If the retrieval is unsuccessful, the system displays a message indicating that you must
configure Avaya one-X
®
Communicator before you can log in.
2. Click OK.
The system displays the General Settings window.
