Preferred Camera The field to select a preferred camera using
a drop-down menu.
User Session Maximum Bit Rate The field to select the maximum bit rate using
a drop-down menu.
Show the video window automatically on
login with video capabilities
A check box to indicate your preference for
displaying the video window at login.
Codec Preferences Check boxes to select video codecs.
Configuring public directory settings
Before you begin
Before you can access a public directory, you need to select the Public Directory check box
in the Preferences window. For the procedure, see Configuring preferences settings on
page 35.
Procedure

To configure Avaya one-X
®
Communicator to gain access to a public directory, click
Public Directory in the left pane of the General Settings window.
If you have logged in to Avaya one-X
®
Communicator in the standalone mode with
H.323 protocol, you must configure the LDAP server and select Public Directory for
Name Look-Up to use the Presence feature. For more information on configuring
Public Directory settings, see Configuring preferences settings on page 35.
2. In the right pane of the General Settings window, in the Directory Type drop-down
menu, select one of the following types of directories:
