Resources
Resources are provided from the systems installed: BeoLink system (A/V products and its connected sources); - Home Automation system(s) (e.g.
buttons, sensors); Virtual resources (programmed resources e.g. related to a button on a user interface or based on an event, e.g. temperature and
sunset) and systems themselves (e.g. Web-cam).
In the Resources page the resources related to the installed Home Automation system and related buttons (i.e. the components it comprises) can
be fetched by using the
Capture
function or made manually. The
Import resources
function is importing preprogrammed resources.
Resources in BeoLink
The resources have the following
parameters:
Zone
The zone to which the resource
belongs - press
-- Select zone --
and select from drop down list.
Name
Enter a name (see page 7) to
ease identication of the
resources.
Type
Select type from the drop down
list - press
-- Select type --
. The
type of available resources
depends on the actual A/V
product (BeoLink ressource types can only be NetworkLink product or MasterLink product).
Address
Unique identication of a resource. The format depends on the system. NL is the serial number and
ML is a unique (but hidden) ML Device number.
Capture
An easy way to add resources is to use the capture function. This function is recommended to be used as often as possible. Press
Capture
and then
activate various components by which the BeoLink Gateway records these activities as resources. NL sources are captured and named automatically
and sources on ML devices must be switched on manually and must be named manually.
Resource selected from the capture list are added automatically to the table of dened resources.
The capture functionality is supported by most systems.
