Home Automation System resources
Resources in HA system
The resources have the following
parameters:
Zone
The zone to which the resource
belongs - press

and select from drop down list.
Name
Enter a name (see page 7) to
ease identication of the
resources.
Type
Select type from the drop down
list - press

. The
type of available resources depends on the actual system, for instance: button, dimmer,
shade etc. E.g. a standard button supports PRESS, HOLD and RELEASE actions plus a
status indication (e.g. an LED that can be On or Off).
Some systems can extend the standard button to provide extra features (see this in the
drop down list). The purpose of having standard resource types is that such common set of features are
shared by the most supported systems.
Address
Unique identication of a resource. The format depends on the HA system - using various number scheme.
Capture
An easy way to add resources is to use the capture function. This function is recommended to be used as often as possible. Press
Capture
and then
activate various components by which the BeoLink Gateway records these activities as resources. NL sources are captured and named automatically
and sources on ML devices must be switched on manually and must be named manually.
Resource selected from the capture list are added automatically to the table of dened resources.
The capture functionality is supported by most systems.
Import ressources
Most HA systems can save a list of ressource settings, that by using the
Import resources
button can be imported in another installation.
