4. Lamp & Lamp House
CAUTION: Xenon comp act arc lamps are highly p ressurized. When ignited, the normal operating temperature
of the bulb increases the pressure to a level at which the bulb m a y explode if not handled in strict accordan ce
to the manufacturer’s instructions. The bulb is stable at room temperature, but may still explode if dropped or
otherwise mishandled. W hen ever the lamp house, containing a xenon lamp , has to be dism antled or when ever
the protective container or cloth has to be removed from the xenon lamp , authorized protective clothing MU ST
be worn!
WARNING: Always wear face protection (full face shield w ith n eck p rotector) w hen handling xenon lamps.
WARNING: Alw ays wear protective clothing (welder ’s jacket) w hen handling x enon lamps.
WARNING: Alwa ys wear clean leather gloves w ith w rist p rotectors when handling xeno n lamps.
Necessary tools
• 5mm Allen w rench.
• Lamp protective container or protective cloth with two binders.
• Flat blade screw driver.
• 2.5mm Allen wrench.
How t o re move the xenon lamp out of the manual S/M Lamp House?
1. R emov e the hexago n soc ket head c ap sc rew (reference 1 image 4-6) which fasten the cathode of the xenon lamp. Use a 5 mm
Allen wrench. D o not release the cathode wire lug. The screw contains a spring washer and a plain washer (reference 2 & 3
image 4-6).
Note: The c athode wire remains in its position after the screw and two washers are removed.

2. R emov e the side cover of the Lam p House by releasing the three quarter turn screws (reference 4 image 4-7) of the side cover
as illustrated.
Caution: Ensure that y ou wear protective clothing, a full face shield and protective gloves.
