6 Appendix – Third Party softwares
6.1 MIB Browser from iReasoning Inc.
The MIB Browser from iReasoning Inc. can be used to read/write the
Barionet registers over SNMP (SNMP request), the standard MIB as also the
private MIB. Additionally it can be used also as SNMP trap receiver.
6.1.1 SNMP Request
SNMP devices and servers support a Standard MIB table (see next picture)
which contains some network and general device statistics but also a Private
MIB (device specific table, shown on following pictures) is possible.
Both Barionets offer a Private MIB on their homepage for download (under
Configuration/SNMP). Such Private MIB can be installed on the SNMP
server application, to control these Barionet registers via SNMP.
