BE1-11m BESTlogic™Plus
Motor Status logic block is true. The emergency
start condition remains until the thermal capacity
drops below 100%, the motor stops, or the motor
does not start for one minute after the emergency
start was requested.
○ Motor is Started – This input can be used with
current or stand alone to detect the motor has
started as determined by the Motor Start
Detection setting.
○ Motor is Stopped – This input can be used with
current or stand alone to detect the motor has
stopped as determined by the Motor Start
Detection setting.
● Logic Outputs
○ Running – This output is true when the motor is
running. The Motor Start Detection setting
controls how the BE1-11m identifies when a
motor is running.
Current Only
■ From a normal motor start - The motor is
deemed “running” when all three phases of
current drop below 2 X FLA for 100 ms.
■ From a soft motor start - The motor is deemed
“running” when all three phases of current are
below 2 X FLA, but above 5% FLA for 300 ms.
Current and Contacts
■ From a normal motor start - The motor is
deemed “running” when all three phases of
current drop below 2 X FLA for 100 ms and
the Motor is Started logic input of the Motor
Status logic block becomes true.
■ From a soft motor start - The motor is deemed
“running” when all three phases of current are
below 2 X FLA, but above 5% FLA for 300 ms,
and the Motor Started logic input of the Motor
Status logic block becomes true.
Contacts Only
The motor is deemed “running” when, from a
stopped condition, the Motor is Started logic input
of the Motor Status logic block becomes true.
○ Starting – This output is true when the motor is
starting. The Motor Start Detection setting
controls how the BE1-11m identifies when a
motor is started.
Current Only
■ Normal start - The motor is deemed “starting”
when, from a stopped condition, the current
on any phase increases to greater than 2 X
FLA.
■ Soft start - The motor is deemed “starting”
when, from a stopped condition, the current
on any phase is below 2 X FLA, but above 5%
FLA for 300 ms.
Current and Contacts
■ Normal start - The motor is deemed “starting”
when, from a stopped condition, the current
on any phase increases to greater than 2 X
FLA and the Motor is Started logic input of the
Motor Status logic block becomes true.
■ Soft start - The motor is deemed “starting”
when, from a stopped condition, the current
