Safety valve (ref. 15 54 056 0N)
The two safety valves are located in the oil pan, starboard
side, and can be accessed by the cylinder 6 inspection trap.
These valves, loaded to a pressure of 7.25 bars, are
designed to limit oil pressure in the engine circuit, when
starting the engine and the oil is still cold.
Never exceed an engine speed of 1,000rpm until water
temperature reaches 60 °C.
Control valve (ref. 15 54 043 0X)
The oil pressure control valve is located on the starboard side
of the oil fi lter support. It maintains constant oil pressure in
the circuit. In addition, the discharge of this valve is used to
feed the cooler pumps of the lower sections of the piston
heads.
