SAFETY WARNING
Users should carefully read the safety instructions before installing and operating the engine.
If the engine is not going to be used for a certain time
during the year, proceed with the engine wintering
process.
Please take all precautions against frost.
Engine cooling circuit
b Check the condition of hoses and collars. Replace them if
required.
b Make sure that the coolant contained in the engine
complies with the S. I. Moteurs Baudouin specications
listed in DT 03.G01 and protected against frost.
Raw water cooling circuit
b Close the raw water suction valve.
b Thoroughly drain the raw water cooling circuit.
Draining the raw water pump
b Unscrew the drain plug to drain the pump.
b Do not replace the drain plug until engine start-up.
b If it is not possible to thoroughly drain all low points of the
circuit, replace the drain plugs and rell the circuit from a high
point with the recommended coolant suitable for the
geographical location (see DT 03.G01).
Engine oil circuit
b Before wintering, drain the used oil and replace it using an
identical product.
b Oil cartridges will be replaced when the engine is brought
back into service.
Depending on the equipment
b Pre-lubricate the engine.
b Turn over the engine using starter with the "STOP" button
pressed, until the needle on the oil pressure dipstick reaches
1 bar.
To pre-lubricate a main or auxiliary generator which is
not equipped with a pre-greasing system, please refer to
the S. I. Moteurs Baudouin approved network.
