Fuel circuit
The 6 M26.2 engine is equipped with a BOSCH P7100 (11)
inline injection pump with a mechanical regulator on standard
models.
Woodward or Heinzmann electronic regulation can be added
to this type of engine (optional).
The feed pump (8) draws the fuel from the daily storage tank
(7) via a water-separator fi lter (option) and feeds the injection
pump (11) through a fi lter which can be switched over during
operation. The injection pump feeds the injectors (13) which
spray the fuel into the combustion chamber.
The non-sprayed excess fuel is returned to the main tank (1).

Excessively high fuel temperatures can lead to poor engine
performance. In this case, a cooling device should be
installed on the fuel backfl ow circuit.
Available as an option (see DT M26.2 05.08)
