Draining the cooling circuit
Drain the cooling circuit when the engine is stopped:
b loosen the exchanger coolant fi lling cap to let some air enter,
b connect a tube to the main drainage valve,
b open the valve and completely drain the coolant into a
recovery tank provided for this purpose,
b close the main drainage valve,
b open the secondary drain valve of the oil cooler and drain
the circuit,
b open the drain valve of the exhaust manifold and bleed the
condensed water,
b open the drain valve of the FW pump and drain the circuit,
b close all drain valves.
Dispose of the drained liquid in accordance with
environmental protection instructions.
Please refer to the Filling section (see DT 03.G01 - Coolant
recommendation) to fi ll the circuit with coolant.
