Inserting a side zipper
Baste the zipper opening on the garment.
• Fold seam allowance back to the left.
• Form a 3mm-fold of the right seam allowance.
• Attach the zipper foot.
• Attach the right side of the presser foot pin to the
holder when sewing the left side of the zipper.
• Attach the left side of the presser foot pin to the
presser foot holder when sewing the right side of the
zipper.
Stitch the left side of zipper from the bottom to the top.
• Turn the fabric right side out, stitch across the lower
end and right side of zipper.
• Stop about 5cm (2 inches) from the top of zipper.
• Remove the basting and open the zipper.
• Stitch the remaining seam.
