General instructions
BMW Motorrad recommends the
use of parts and accessories for
your vehicle that are approved by
BMW for this purpose.
Genuine BMW parts and ac-
cessories and other products
which BMW has approved can
be obtained from your authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer, together
with expert advice on their install-
ation and use.
These parts and products have
been tested by BMW for safety,
function and suitability. BMW
accepts product liability for them.
Conversely, BMW is unable to
accept any liability whatsoever
for parts and accessories which it
has not approved.
BMW Motorrad cannot ex-
amine or test each product
of outside origin to ensure that it
can be used on or in connection
with an E-Scooter without consti-
tuting a safety hazard. Country-
specific official authorisation does
not suffice as assurance. Tests
conducted by these instances
cannot make provision for all op-
erating conditions experienced by
the E-Scooter and, consequently,
they are not sufficient in some
circumstances.
Use only parts and accessories
approved by BMW for your E-
Scooter.
Whenever you are planning
modifications, comply with all
the legal requirements. Make
sure that the vehicle does not
infringe the national road-vehicle
construction and use regulations
applicable in your country.
Power sockets
Notes on use of 12V sockets:
Operating electrical
accessories
Battery capacity is not monitored
while 12V sockets are in use.
Running add-on devices for a
lengthy period without the high-
voltage battery unit supplying
power can completely drain the
12V battery. Under these cir-
cumstances there is no guaran-
tee that the E-Scooter will start.
Cable routing
The cables from 12V sockets
to the auxiliary devices must be
routed in such a way that they
Do not impede the rider
Do not restrict the steering
angle or obstruct handling
Cannot be trapped
