General instructions
Correct upkeep, recharging and
storage will prolong the life of the
12V battery and are essential if
warranty claims are to be con-
sidered.
Compliance with the points be-
low is important in order to max-
imise the life of the 12V battery:
Keep the surface of the battery
clean and dry.
Always comply with the notes
set out below when charging
the 12V battery:
If the 12V battery is not
disconnected, the on-
board electronics (e.g. clock,
etc.) gradually drain the 12V
battery. This can cause the
12V battery to run flat. If this
happens, warranty claims will not
be accepted.
Connect a float charger to the
12V battery if the vehicle is to
remain out of use for more than
four weeks.
Charging the connected
12V battery directly at the
battery terminals can damage the
vehicle electronics.
Always disconnect the 12V bat-
tery from the on-board circuits
before recharging it with a char-
ger connected directly to the
12V battery terminals.
If you switch on operational
readiness and the multi-
function display and indicator
lights fail to light up, the 12V
battery is completely flat (bat-
tery voltage is less than 9 V). At-
tempting to charge a completely
flat 12V battery via the 12V on-
board socket can cause damage
to the vehicle's electronics.
If a 12V battery has discharged
to the extent that it is completely
flat, it has to be disconnected
from the on-board circuits and
charged with the charger con-
nected directly to the 12V battery
terminals.
Charging 12V battery
The E-Scooter is neither drive-
ready nor operationally ready.
Check whether the 12V battery is
flat:
Switch on operational readi-
ness ( 38).
Note the multifunction display:
If you switch on operational
readiness and the multifunc-
tion display fails to light up, the
battery is completely flat. The
12V battery will have to be dis-
connected from the on-board
circuits and charged with the
battery charger connected dir-
ectly to the battery terminals.
If the multifunction display
switches on, the 12V battery
is not completely flat. The 12V
battery can remain connected
to the on-board circuits and
