Possible cause:
The charging cable has been
connected with operational readi-
ness switched on. Ride enabling
is not possible.
Operational readiness has to
be switched off before char-
ging can start or be resumed.
Switch off operational readi-
ness ( 38).
Electric drive in
emergency operating
mode
lights up yellow.

The electric drive is run-
ning in emergency operat-
ing mode. Unusual handling is a
possibility.
Adapt your style of riding accord-
ingly. Avoid accelerating sharply
and overtaking.
Have fault rectified as soon
as possible by an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer.
Fault in electric drive
lights up red.

Insulation fault in the
high-voltage section
lights up yellow.
Possible cause:
An insulation fault has been de-
tected. A high-voltage cable has
suffered damage.
Have fault rectified as soon
as possible by an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer.
High-voltage safety
connector not connected
lights up red.
Possible cause:
The high-voltage safety con-
nector has been disconnected
and the high-voltage system is
deactivated.
Note the following:
Only an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer is
permitted to disconnect the high-
voltage safety connector.
RBS/TCA fault
appears on the display.
