ALTITUDE ALERT
Condition: The ALT ALERT indication indicates that the airplane
is approaching or deviating from a selected altitude.
Reset selected altitude (if necessary).
Maintain appropriate altitude.
CONFIGURATION WARNING
Condition: An intermittent warning horn sounds when advancing
thrust levers to takeoff, or a steady warning horn
sounds inflight.
Assure proper airplane configuration.
GROUND PROXIMITY ALERT
Condition: The GPWS provides warnings and/or alerts for any of
the following potentially hazardous flight conditions:
• excessive descent rate
• excessive terrain closure rate
• altitude loss after takeoff or go–around
• unsafe terrain clearance when not in the landing configuration
• excessive deviation below an ILS glideslope
• bank angles and descent below the selected minimum altitudes.
Correct the flight path or the airplane configuration.
Note: If an alert occurs when flying under daylight VMC
conditions, and positive visual verification is made
that no hazard exists, the alert may be regarded as
cautionary and the approach may be continued.
