Approaching MDA
• Set missed approach
altitude in MCP
Approaching intercept heading
•Flaps 5
•Flaps 5
On RADAR vectors
• HDG SEL
• Appropriate pitch mode
Intercept Heading
•Arm LNAV or
appropriate roll mode
Descend to MDA
•Set V/S
• Landing checklist
•Flaps 1
Missed approach
• Push TO/GA switch
• Flaps 15 (flaps 1, 1 engine)
• Go–around attitude
• Go–around thrust
• Positive rate of climb, gear up
• Above 400 feet select roll
mode
• At flap retraction altitude, set
speed for desired flap setting
• Retract flaps on schedule
• After flap retraction, select
LVL CHG or VNAV as
required
• Select CLB/CON thrust
• Verify tracking route and
altitude capture
• After Takeoff checklist
FAF
Enroute to fix
• LNAV or appropriate roll mode
• VNAV or appropriate pitch mode
Inbound (1.5 NM)
• Gear down
•Flaps 15
