5 Operating
5.1 Configuring Ethernet interface
To configure the controller in a TCP/IP network environment, use the AccessIPConfig tool. The
tool is delivered with the access host system software.
Consult the online help of the AccessIpConfig for details on configuring the controller.
For further information refer to the documentation of the corresponding access system.
To ensure that the controller can communicate with the software follow these naming rules:
– Use only alphanumeric characters plus the seperator "-" (minus/dash).
– Do not use special characters or spaces.
– The network name must start with a letter.
– The names are not case sensitive.
Notice!
The AMC2 can be renamed via the AccessIPConfig tool with a name that is not longer than 14
characters. The name has to fulfill the requirements of NetBIOS.
