10.5.1 The Full Aperture
The Full Aperture (FA) is the largest circular region that fits within the DM's
reflective surface. The Full Aperture is what you see when looking
directly at the DM, and is also known as the Unpowered Surface Figure.
As it is not entirely controllable, the Full Aperture is typically not used,
but is useful to know if the application calls for overfilling the useful area.
10.5.1.1 The Full Aperture for Continuous DMs
Continuous DMs have two or more rows of inactive actuators outside of
the controllable actuators. The reflective area extends to the outermost
inactive actuators.
The diameter of the Full Aperture is ([actuators across] + 3) x [pitch]

10.5.1.2 The Full Aperture for Segmented DMs
Segmented DMs have two or more rows of inactive actuators, outside of
the controllable actuators. Each of these inactive actuators has a full size
reflective segment. The reflective area extends to the outermost edge
of the outermost reflective segment.
The diameter of the Full Aperture is ([actuators across] + 4) x [pitch]
