Setup for Polled Transmit
(Standard)
Polled Transmit is when you set up the
machine to wait with a document so another
fax machine can retrieve it.
Note
■ When someone polls your machine to
receive a fax, they pay for the call.
■ If you poll someone’s fax machine to
receive a fax, you pay for the call.

If it is not illuminated in green, press
(Fax).

Load your document.

Press Menu/Set, 2, 2, 6.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select Standard.
Press Menu/Set.

Press Start.
Note
The document will be stored in the machine’s
memory and can be retrieved from any other
fax machine until you delete the fax from
memory by using the Cancelling a Job menu
setting. (See Cancelling a scheduled job on
page 3-8.)
Setup for Polled Transmit with
Secure Code
Polled Transmit with Secure Code is a way to
keep your documents from falling into the
wrong hands while the machine is set up for
polling.
Note
■ When someone polls your machine to
receive a fax, they pay for the call.
■ If you poll someone’s fax machine to
receive a fax, you pay for the call.

Load your document.

Press Menu/Set, 2, 2, 6.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select Secure.
Press Menu/Set.

Enter a four-digit number.
Press Menu/Set.

Press Start.
Note
■ The document will be stored in the

■ You can use Secure Polling only with
