Choosing a location
Place your MFC on a flat, stable surface that is free of vibration and shocks, such as a desk. Put the MFC near
a telephone wall jack and a standard, grounded AC power outlet. Choose a location where the temperature
remains between 50°F and 95°F (10°C and 35°C).
Caution
îš„ Avoid placing your MFC in a high-traffic area.
îš„ Avoid placing your MFC on the carpet.
îš„ Do not place near heaters, air conditioners, water, chemicals, or refrigerators.
îš„ Do not expose the MFC to direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture, or dust.
îš„ Do not connect your MFC to electrical outlets controlled by wall switches or automatic timers.
 Disruption of power can wipe out information in the MFC’s memory.
îš„ Do not connect your MFC to electrical outlets on the same circuit as large appliances or other equipment
that might disrupt the power supply.
îš„ Avoid interference sources, such as speakers or the base units of cordless phones.
