In
the case
of
alphanumeric fields, the field settings are represented by numeric codes.
The codes can then be entered via the numeric keyboard
to
go
directly
to
the required
setting, avoiding the need
to
index through intervening settings. The numeric codes are
given in the
description
of
the fields, and are summarised in Section 5.6. For instance,
with reference
to
the Measurement
Mode
control
fields, Section 5.2.1, entering a 2
into
the
first
field and a 0 into the second would set the 2032
to
Dual Channel Spectrum
Averaging.
In
the following
description
the respective codes precede the allowed al-
phanumeric
control
field settings. Note, however, that they
do
not
appear
on the 2032
Display.
As in
Chapter
4,
an index
to
the Chapter in alphabetical
order
is given, in
order
to
assist the user in finding the relevant section should
clarification
of
a
control
field be
required. Any
control field should be
looked
up.
first
under the main heading
MEA-
SUREMENT SETUP,
DISP~AY
SETUP, CURSOR SETUP, and
other
control
fields and
then under the
control
field name. Fig.5.1 shows the division
of
the 2032 Display into
the MEASUREMENT SETUP,
DISPLAY SETUP, and CURSOR SETUP
groups
of
control
fields.
