The
X-scaling
Control
Fields
The X-scaling control fields
control
the scaling
of
the X-axis. Precisely how the fields
are used depends on what is being displayed.
In
the following, a general
description
of
the X-scaling fields is given
first
for
time domain functions and then
for
frequency
domain functions, followed by
exceptions
to these general descriptions.
a) Time Domain Functions
Two X-scaling control fields are used when
time
domain functions are displayed. They
control
the
start
of
the
time
function and the displayed time span. The time function
can be expanded on the
Display by using the time span field
to
reduce the displayed
time
span and the
start
field
to
scan the displayed
portion
back and forth across the
whole
time
domain function.
