9  Place the sensor's cover onto the probe unit and gently turn until it is tight.  
10  Verify that you are getting a humidity reading.  
NOTE Allow up to 20 minutes after powering up for the sensor reading to stabilize. 
 
 
 
 
To wire and mount the Outdoor RH sensor 
See sensor diagram in To wire and mount the Duct RH sensor (page 43).  
 
1  Use the 2 mounting screws provided to secure the sensor. 
2  Remove the cover and install conduit connectors, watertight fittings, and/or 1/2” vent plug. 
NOTE The inner ring will knock out first. Then tap the outer ring in 1 or 2 locations with a screwdriver to 
peel it out. The cover will be connected to the housing by the sensor leads. 
3  At the sensor end of the cable, strip back the jacket from the cable for at least 3 inches. Strip 1/4 inch of 
insulation from each conductor. If using shielded cable, cut the shield and drain wire from the cable. 
4  Wire the unit for power. See Typical power wiring diagrams for Duct RH and Outdoor RH sensors (page 
46).
